Carmen McGhee

PT, DPT

Carmen A. McGhee received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tennessee State University and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Alabama State University. She developed her interest in women’s health while working as an epidemiological research assistant at Meharry Medical College before attending physical therapy school. Early in her physical therapy career, she attended over 100 hours of continuing education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments (IAMT) with emphasis in pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, lumbopelvic and hip dysfunction in men and women. She continues to expand her knowledge in these areas with ongoing continuing education.

Carmen also has experience in treating various orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, hip pain, and post-operative abdominal and lumbopelvic conditions. She provides a “hands-on” approach to evaluate and address each patient’s concern and is determined to find the cause of pelvic dysfunction to give the patient long-lasting results. She is passionate about women’s and men’s pelvic health and wants to improve every patient’s overall quality of life.
